Why be a trainee at Hydro

The Hydro Graduate Trainee Program is a perfect launching pad for a career at Hydro – and a gateway into the exciting world of aluminium. We design the program to fit your individual needs, allowing you to explore the diversity and depth of Hydro’s businesses.

The 15-month-long program starts each year on September 1. As a trainee, you will be employed by a specific office or operating unit. Under their guidance, you will typically work in three important and challenging job assignments at different locations. You also participate regularly in seminars with other members of the Hydro trainee group, giving you the chance to learn, network and share common experiences.

Finish with valuable skills and a permanent job

At the end of the trainee program, you will have gained a solid foundation of experience and skills at a global company, a preview of an exciting job – and an offer to become a permanent member of the Hydro team that you trained with. That’s certainly hard to beat!
