Sunndal is a town of 1,700 in the Møre og Romsdal county on the west coast of Norway. In addition to its dramatic fjord landscape, Sunndal borders Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park, which was established to preserve several unique animal species and one of Europe’s last remaining temperate alpine ecosystems.

At Sunndal, Hydro operates the largest and most modern primary aluminium plant in Europe. We also have a casthouse, significant research and development activities and local shared services teams located in Sunndal.
