In Slovakia, Hydro is present as part-owner in an aluminium production plant. The company has about 620 employees in the country.
Hydro owns a majority interest in Slovalco, which is located in Ziar nad Hronom. Virtually all the employees Hydro lists as having in Slovakia are employed by Slovalco, which produces primary aluminium on one prebake line.
Slovalco is part of Hydro’s worldwide network of primary aluminium production sites.
